Guard Your Heart Berry Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 – cup fresh or frozen berries – strawberries, raspberries, or blue berries

1 – cup fresh orange, apple, or tangerine juice

1 or 2 large bananas, fresh or frozen

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in blender until smooth and thick. You can add ice cubes to make it cold and to thin it out. You and the kids will love this!!

Fruits that Guard Your Heart

Strawberries are shaped like little hearts and are packed with antioxidants, vitamin C, folate (vitamin B9), and potassium and are a good source of fiber.

Blueberries have vitamin C, folate (vitamin B9), calcium and iron in them and are chalked full of antioxidants.

Apples are also shaped a little bit like your heart and are a good source of antioxidants, vitamin C, magnesium, potassium, and fiber.

Oranges are a  fantastic source of vitamin C, fiber, folate (vitamin B9), and potassium.

Bananas are full of potassium, folate (vitamin B9), vitamins A, B6, and C, and fiber.
